Pieces fall into a vertical playfield from a side-on perspective. The player moves and arranges them so that animal pieces touch their corresponding food; completed matches disappear and can trigger cascading clears.

The main objective is to outlast the opposing side by building chains and sending obstructing pieces into the opponent's field. Matches become more demanding as the board fills, so players must balance immediate clears with preparations for larger reactions. The Game Gear release focuses on single-player challenges and competitive puzzle matches.

Prioritize safe matches near the bottom of the field, but avoid sealing off the spaces needed for a follow-up chain. Keep animal and food pieces grouped by type when possible so that an incoming piece can complete more than one connection.

Watch the opponent's field before committing to a large clear. A quick small match can prevent a dangerous buildup, while a delayed chain is valuable when it sends a larger obstruction and leaves your own board stable.
