How it plays

How does Blues Brothers 2000 play?

The game uses a third-person 3D perspective. Players explore stage areas, navigate platforms and hazards, defeat or avoid enemies, collect items, and search for routes toward the end of each level.

Jake and Elwood are the playable Blues Brothers, with progression built around completing stages and gathering collectibles. Platforming, environmental navigation, and simple action encounters make up the main play loop. The Nintendo 64 version is a single-player adventure.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Blues Brothers 2000?

Treat the camera as part of each platforming challenge: stop before blind jumps, adjust the view, and look for the next safe landing. Explore side paths because collectibles and useful routes are often away from the most direct line.

Avoid rushing through enemy groups. Create space before attacking, and learn the timing of hazards before committing to longer jumps. If a section repeatedly causes falls, approach it slowly and use the camera to confirm platform positions.
