Bonk
A cheerful prehistoric hero who fights with headbutts, jumps, and temporary transformations.
How it plays
Bonk travels through side-scrolling stages, defeats dinosaurs and other enemies, collects items, and reaches a goal or boss encounter. His main attacks use his head, while jumps and other movement techniques help him cross hazards and platforms.
Power-ups can alter Bonk's size and abilities, creating different ways to pass obstacles or fight enemies. The adventure is divided into themed areas with regular stages, challenge sections, and boss battles. Progress depends on learning enemy patterns, using the environment, and managing health and transformation opportunities.
Plan your run
Study enemy timing before attacking, especially when approaching enemies from below or near narrow platforms.

Bonk III: Bonk's Big Adventure is a side-scrolling action platformer developed by Red Company and published by Hudson Soft for the PC Engine Super CD-ROM². It stars Bonk, a prehistoric hero defending his world from another threat organized by King Drool. The game combines headbutt-based combat with jumping, climbing, swimming, and temporary size changes. Its colorful stages, comic presentation, expressive animation, and CD audio continue the series' playful style while adding more varied level mechanics. The Japanese release was well regarded by PC Engine enthusiasts for its polished presentation and inventive platforming, although its availability outside Japan remained limited.
