How it plays

How does Bubble Bobble Part 2 play?

The game uses a single-screen perspective. Players guide Bub or Bob around platforms, blow bubbles, jump on or around them, and pop trapped enemies before they escape.

Stages must be cleared by defeating every enemy. The room layouts become more demanding, with tighter platforms, hazards, and enemies that require careful timing. Items and power-ups can improve movement or bubble abilities, while two-player mode allows simultaneous cooperation.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Bubble Bobble Part 2?

Trap enemies as soon as possible, then pop bubbles from a safe position rather than chasing enemies across the room. Use bubbles as temporary platforms when a direct jump is unsafe.

In two-player mode, coordinate bubble placement and avoid popping a partner’s setup prematurely. Learn each room’s enemy routes before committing to a risky jump, and collect useful power-ups when the path is secure.
