Buck Bumble
The playable bee and defender of the hive. Buck uses flight, weapons, and power-ups to fight hostile insects.
How it plays
The game is viewed from behind Buck as he flies through outdoor environments and attacks enemy insects. Missions generally require the player to reach locations, defeat opponents, protect targets, or complete other combat objectives.
Buck can move through the air, maneuver around terrain, collect weapons and power-ups, and fight with ranged attacks. Progression follows a sequence of story missions, while multiplayer provides separate competitive battles with selectable arenas and match rules.
Plan your run
Use open space to maintain maneuverability, and avoid hovering in one place while enemies are attacking. Learn each weapon's effective range and conserve stronger ammunition for tougher targets.
In missions with a protection or location objective, clear nearby enemies before moving on. In multiplayer, use terrain and vertical movement to break the opponent's line of fire rather than pursuing in a predictable path.

Before you begin
Keep moving during firefights; Buck is easier to hit when stationary.
Search mission areas for weapon and health pickups before engaging major enemies.
Use the environment for cover and approach enemies from different heights.
Buck Bumble is a third-person action shooter developed by Ubisoft Montpellier and published by Ubisoft for the Nintendo 64. The player controls Buck, an anthropomorphic bee defending his territory against hostile insects and other threats. Missions combine aerial movement, ground-level exploration, shooting, and objective-based combat across varied environments. A separate multiplayer mode supports competitive matches. The game was notable for its unusual insect-focused setting and energetic presentation, although contemporary reception was mixed, with criticism directed at its controls, repetition, and technical limitations. It remains a distinctive late-1990s Nintendo 64 shooter rather than a conventional military or space-themed action game.
