How it plays
The game uses a vertical overhead perspective. Players move their craft over land and water, fire at airborne enemies, bomb ground targets, and collect bells released from clouds.
Stages alternate between regular scrolling sections and boss encounters. Bell colors cycle when shot, so players must decide whether to collect an immediate defensive or offensive improvement or keep shooting for a more useful color. The game is structured as a sequence of stages with limited lives and continues, and it can be played alone or cooperatively.

Before you begin
Bell colors change when bells are shot, so avoid collecting them immediately if another color is more useful.
Learn boss attack cycles and prioritize survival over maximum scoring.
Cooperative play is safer, but careless bell shooting can disrupt the other player’s power-up plan.
Detana!! TwinBee is a colorful vertical-scrolling shoot ’em up developed and published by Konami for the PC Engine. The player pilots the TwinBee or WinBee through whimsical stages filled with airborne enemies, ground installations, bosses, and floating bells. Shooting enemies and striking bells at different times changes their colors and effects, making power-up management central to survival. The game supports solo play and cooperative two-player action, with a bright presentation that contrasts with increasingly demanding enemy patterns. It is a PC Engine adaptation of Konami’s arcade game and is generally regarded as a strong home conversion, preserving the series’ distinctive humor, music, and cooperative style.
