How it plays
The game uses a third-person perspective. Tarzan runs, jumps, climbs, swings, crouches, and attacks through jungle environments while reaching the end of each stage and collecting useful items.
Levels contain hazards, enemies, hidden routes, and collectibles connected to completion goals. Progression follows the film-inspired adventure, with new areas and set pieces becoming available as stages are cleared.
Plan your run
Learn the timing of Tarzan's jump and attack before attempting longer platforming sections. Use the camera to check landing areas, and avoid rushing into groups of enemies when a safer route is available.
Explore side paths for collectibles and health items. In chase or timed sequences, prioritize the route forward rather than stopping to fight every enemy.

Disney's Tarzan is a 3D platform game developed by Eurocom and published by Disney Interactive for the Nintendo 64. It adapts Disney's 1999 animated film, following Tarzan from his childhood in the jungle into the conflict surrounding Jane, Clayton, and the gorillas. The game combines acrobatic movement, melee attacks, exploration, and collectible hunting across jungle-themed stages. Players guide Tarzan through linear levels with branching paths and platforming challenges rather than an open world. Reception was mixed: its colorful presentation and accessible film-based action were generally appreciated, while repetitive combat and occasional camera or control problems drew criticism.
