How it plays
How does Faceball 2000 play?
The game uses a first-person perspective inside maze-like arenas. The main objective is to locate and shoot enemy smileys while finding the exit or completing the requirements of each stage.
Players move through successive arenas, turn through corridors, avoid incoming attacks, and search for useful routes. Progression is based primarily on clearing the maze stages; the emphasis is on spatial awareness and fast reactions rather than character development or equipment management.
Plan your run
What is the best way to play Faceball 2000?
Learn the layout of each arena before moving quickly through it. Use corners and corridor openings to limit the directions from which enemies can approach.
Keep moving when an enemy is nearby, but avoid rushing into unexplored intersections. Clear visible opponents first, then methodically check side passages so that the exit and remaining targets are easier to locate.
Before you begin
What should you know before playing?
- 1
Use the map-like structure of the maze to establish a route instead of wandering randomly.
- 2
Watch open intersections carefully; enemies can attack while you are changing direction.
- 3
The game rewards deliberate exploration more than constant firing.
