Matches are viewed from an elevated, scrolling perspective. The player controls one footballer at a time while the computer positions teammates, with possession changing as passes, tackles, interceptions, and loose balls alter the flow of play.

The main objective is to score more goals than the opposing team before time expires. Players can select teams, play individual matches, and enter competition-oriented modes. Progress depends on winning successive fixtures, managing possession, and creating shooting opportunities from open play or set pieces.

Keep possession with short passes instead of forcing forward balls. Move the controlled player into passing lanes when defending, then switch quickly to the nearest defender after losing the ball.

Use the wings to stretch the defense and look for a central pass near the penalty area. Shoot only when the angle is clear, and avoid excessive tackling close to your own goal, where a missed challenge can create an easy chance.
