How it plays
Final Fight 3 presents a side-on view of Metro City streets and other urban locations. The objective is to defeat groups of enemies, collect useful items, and reach the end of each stage before facing a boss.
The game supports one-player and two-player cooperative modes. Stages can branch at certain points, creating different routes through the campaign. Fighters have distinct speed, strength, reach, and special moves, while a power gauge enables stronger attacks after it is built through combat. Weapons and health-restoring food also appear during stages.
Plan your run
Learn the enemy approach patterns before advancing, and avoid standing between groups whenever possible. Use throws to remove dangerous opponents quickly, then reposition rather than repeatedly striking a surrounded target.
Save special attacks for crowded encounters and bosses. Explore alternate branches when practicing, since different routes can change enemy encounters and stage flow. In two-player mode, coordinate attacks so one player can control space while the other handles a priority enemy.

Final Fight 3 is a side-scrolling beat 'em up developed and published by Capcom for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The game follows Metro City's defenders as they confront the Skull Cross gang, which is exploiting unrest after the collapse of the Mad Gear organization. Players choose from four fighters, including returning heroes Mike Haggar and Guy, as well as Lucia and Dean. The campaign supports one or two players, uses branching routes, and combines standard attacks, throws, jumping strikes, and special techniques. It was released late in the SNES era and was generally regarded as a strong console-focused follow-up, particularly for its character selection, cooperative play, and expanded combat systems.
