How it plays
How does Gods play?
Gods uses a side-view perspective. The objective is to travel through four large stages, collect keys and useful objects, solve switch-based obstacles, and reach the guardian at the end of each area.
The warrior can walk, climb ladders, jump, attack with weapons, and interact with parts of the environment. Enemies, moving platforms, pressure mechanisms, disappearing floors, and timed hazards make careful positioning important. Progress depends on finding routes and equipment as well as defeating enemies.

What is the best way to play Gods?
Explore each section before committing to a dangerous jump. Look for keys, switches, hidden routes, and safe positions rather than rushing forward.
Conserve powerful weapons for crowded rooms and guardian encounters. Learn the timing of traps and enemy attacks; repeated attempts are often necessary because some hazards are difficult to identify on a first visit.
Before you begin
What should you know before playing?
- 1
Search thoroughly for keys and switches before assuming a route is blocked.
- 2
Use the edges of platforms and ladders to control enemy encounters.
- 3
Treat unfamiliar floors and openings as potential traps until tested.
