Goofy
A playable Disney character who can explore the islands, fight enemies, and solve environmental puzzles.
How it plays
The game uses a top-down perspective across five island stages, each divided into connected areas. The main objective is to explore, find keys and tools, defeat or avoid enemies, and reach the stage's ending encounter.
Goofy and Max can move objects, pick up and throw items, use a hook, and manipulate environmental hazards. Different tools open routes or provide solutions to specific puzzles. The two-player mode requires both characters to coordinate their positions and actions, while solo play lets one character handle the entire adventure.
Plan your run
Search each area carefully before moving on; keys and useful objects are often placed away from the obvious route.
Use the hook and thrown objects to control enemies from a safe distance. In two-player mode, coordinate movement around switches, hazards, and narrow passages rather than acting independently.
Save durable items for situations that block progress, and learn which objects can be pushed, pulled, or thrown.

Cooperative play is especially useful when one character must manage a hazard while the other advances.
Goof Troop is a top-down action-adventure and puzzle game developed by Capcom for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Players control Goofy or Max as they travel across pirate-held islands to rescue Pete and P.J. The game emphasizes environmental interaction rather than conventional platforming: characters push objects, collect tools, stun enemies, and solve compact room-based puzzles. A second player can join as the other character, making cooperation central to many situations. Its bright presentation and approachable controls received generally favorable contemporary attention, while its short campaign and unusual puzzle-focused design made it a distinctive Disney console release.
