How it plays
The campaign is viewed from a third-person perspective. Juno, Vela, and Lupus travel through interconnected planets, fighting Mizar’s drones, collecting weapons and upgrades, and locating Tribals who must be rescued rather than merely found.
Each hero has different capabilities, and some areas cannot be fully completed until the appropriate character or equipment is available. Progress involves revisiting locations, opening routes, gathering spaceship parts, and completing boss encounters. A cooperative two-player campaign and separate multiplayer battles add modes beyond the main adventure.
Plan your run
Rescue Tribals whenever possible, because missed rescues can force substantial backtracking later. Search side paths and elevated areas for weapon upgrades, armor pieces, and other collectibles.
Learn which character can access each route before spending time trying to force progress. Save ammunition for tougher enemies and bosses, and use multiplayer or cooperative play when you want a less solitary approach to the campaign.

Jet Force Gemini is a third-person action-adventure game developed by Rare and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64. Players control members of the Jet Force Gemini team as they fight the insectoid forces of Mizar and rescue enslaved Tribals across a network of alien worlds. The game combines shooting, exploration, platforming, vehicle sections, and collectible-driven progression, with different characters offering distinct movement abilities. Its campaign can be played alone or cooperatively, while competitive multiplayer supports several battle modes. Released in 1999, it was widely recognized for ambitious environments, varied gameplay, and technical presentation, although its camera, backtracking, and character rescue requirements received more mixed reactions. It remains one of Rare’s notable late-Nintendo 64 action games.
