How it plays
Players move through horizontally scrolling stages, defeating mechanical enemies, avoiding hazards, and reaching a boss encounter. The heroes can jump, strike nearby opponents, and use ranged attacks when available.
The campaign is structured as a sequence of action stages with branching or selectable routes in places. Defeated enemies and completed sections lead toward tougher encounters, while two-player mode allows both heroes to fight on screen together.
Plan your run
Use short attacks while staying mobile, because enemies often approach from both sides. Learn the timing of each boss's attack pattern instead of repeatedly attacking at close range.
In two-player mode, divide attention between enemies on opposite sides of the screen and avoid crowding the same target. Preserve ranged attacks for bosses or dangerous groups when possible.

Before you begin
Watch enemy patterns before committing to a jump or close-range attack.
Use cooperative positioning so one player is not repeatedly hit from behind.
Shockman 2: A New Enemy is a side-scrolling action game developed by Winds and published by Masaya for the PC Engine. It follows the enhanced heroes Tasuke and Kyapiko as they confront a new invasion threatening their city. The game combines platforming, close-range combat, projectile attacks, and boss battles, with support for one or two players. Its colorful presentation and fast, straightforward action reflect early-1990s Japanese console design. The game is especially notable for expanding the original Shubibinman formula with more varied stages and a stronger cooperative focus, although its challenge and collision-heavy combat can feel demanding.
