How it plays

How does Kirby's Avalanche play?

The playfield is viewed from the side, with each player managing a separate vertical well. Pairs of colored Ghosts fall from above; the player moves and rotates them before they land.

Connecting four or more Ghosts of the same color clears them. Additional pieces can fall into place to create chains, which send gray nuisance blocks to the opponent. The main solo mode consists of successive matches against Kirby characters, while the two-player mode lets two people compete directly. Victory comes from filling the opponent's well so that no further pieces can be placed.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Kirby's Avalanche?

Build chains instead of clearing every group immediately. Leave compatible colors in place when possible so a new pair can trigger a second or third clear.

Watch the opponent's incoming nuisance blocks and keep the upper part of your well open. A quick small clear can be more valuable than a risky large setup when the board is close to the top.
