How it plays

How does Lords of Thunder play?

Duran flies from left to right through branching elemental stages filled with ground targets, flying enemies, obstacles, and bosses. The player fires continuously, moves around the screen, and uses a close-range weapon or magic to manage threats.

At the beginning of a run, the player selects armor associated with an element. Defeating enemies and collecting power-ups improves the current weapon, while damage reduces its strength. Each stage ends with a large guardian battle, and completing the available realms opens the route to the final area.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Lords of Thunder?

Choose an armor element that suits the stage and learn the boss pattern before committing to aggressive attacks. Keep the weapon powered up by collecting upgrades, but prioritize survival when enemy fire becomes dense.

Use close-range attacks against nearby targets when safe, since they can remove threats quickly. Save magic for crowded sections, difficult formations, or moments when a boss pattern leaves little room to maneuver.
