How it plays

How does Lunar: Eternal Blue play?

The player explores an overhead world map, towns, dungeons, and story locations from a third-person perspective. Hiro's party investigates ancient ruins, solves straightforward environmental obstacles, speaks with residents, and advances through a linear sequence of events.

Combat is turn-based. Party members can move around the battle area, use physical attacks, skills, magic, items, or defensive commands. Victory grants experience and money, while equipment and level growth improve the party's effectiveness. The adventure is primarily single-player and story-driven.

What is the best way to play Lunar: Eternal Blue?

Keep the party's equipment current in every town, especially weapons and armor for Hiro and Jean. Save before entering major dungeons and use healing items so that MP can be reserved for difficult encounters.

Pay attention to enemy weaknesses and use each character's role efficiently. Ronfar's healing is valuable during long areas, while Lemina's magic can clear groups or exploit elemental vulnerabilities. Explore side paths for chests, but do not neglect the main story because progression is largely linear.
