How it plays
The game uses a side-scrolling perspective. Mickey moves through several themed stages, avoids hazards, defeats enemies, collects items, and reaches a boss at the end of each area.
Costumes provide different abilities, including attacks and movement options suited to particular obstacles. Wardrobes placed throughout the stages let Mickey change costumes. The game supports solo play and a two-player mode in which the second player controls Donald Duck, with both players progressing through the same adventure.
Plan your run
Learn which costume best suits each obstacle before committing to a difficult section. The wizard-style attack is useful for distant enemies, while other costumes provide specialized movement or close-range options.
Take time to search platforms and side paths for hearts and other helpful items. Before each boss, preserve health and identify safe moments to attack rather than rushing into contact damage.

The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse is a Disney-themed action-platformer developed and published by Capcom for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Mickey travels through colorful fantasy worlds to rescue Pluto, who has been captured by Pete. The game combines traditional side-scrolling platforming with costume-based abilities, allowing Mickey to change roles and approach obstacles in different ways. Its stages mix jumping, enemy encounters, environmental hazards, and boss battles. The game was well regarded for its polished controls, attractive animation, and strong adaptation of Disney characters. It was followed by two sequels and later received ports and rereleases on other Nintendo platforms.
