How it plays
The game uses a side-view perspective and divides the adventure into selectable Robot Master stages. Players run, jump, shoot, avoid hazards, and defeat a stage boss to obtain a new weapon.
Mega Man uses a chargeable shot and traditional weapon progression, while Bass fires rapidly in multiple directions and has different mobility. Stages also contain CDs that record character and enemy information. Progress depends on defeating bosses, selecting useful weapons, and learning enemy patterns.
Plan your run
Study each stage before committing to a route; several hazards are designed to punish rushing.

Mega Man & Bass is a side-scrolling action platformer developed and published by Capcom for the Game Boy Advance. It is based on the earlier Super Famicom game Rockman & Forte and follows Mega Man and Bass as they investigate the rise of King, a robot who claims authority over the world's Robot Masters. Each hero has different movement and shooting abilities, creating distinct approaches to the same stages. The game is known for demanding platforming, aggressive boss encounters, and a large amount of collectible data. Its reception was generally positive, although critics noted its high difficulty and sometimes cramped screen presentation.
