How it plays
How does Might and Magic play?
Players control a party of up to six custom characters from a first-person view. The main objectives include exploring Varn, gathering information, completing quests, finding important objects, and uncovering the truth behind the Inner Sanctum.
Movement takes place through connected overworld and dungeon spaces. Combat switches to a turn-based command screen, where party members can attack, cast spells, defend, or use items. Experience, gold, equipment, spells, and improved attributes allow the party to advance, while inns and other services help restore and prepare the group.
Plan your run
What is the best way to play Might and Magic?
Build a balanced party with dependable physical attackers, spellcasters, and characters able to withstand damage. Keep several healing and utility options available, because travel and dungeon encounters can rapidly drain resources.
Explore methodically and record clues, locations, passwords, and quest information. Save frequently when possible, return to town to recover, and avoid pushing into areas where enemies consistently overwhelm the party.
