How it plays
The game uses a two-dimensional side view. Players move through linear stages, defeat groups of Putty Patrollers and other enemies, avoid hazards, and reach a boss encounter at the end of each level.
Players select or control Rangers with distinct weapons and attacks. Jumping, normal strikes, special attacks, and movement are combined to handle crowds and bosses. Progression follows a fixed sequence of stages, with new areas and major enemies appearing as the campaign advances.
Plan your run
Keep moving so groups of enemies cannot surround the Ranger. Use jumps to cross hazards and reposition, then attack enemies as they approach rather than rushing into the center of a crowd.
Save special attacks for bosses or dense formations. Learn each boss’s approach pattern, punish its recovery animation, and avoid standing directly beneath large enemies when they attack.

Before you begin
Use the stage layout to separate enemies before attacking.
Ranged attacks are useful for controlling space, while close-range weapons usually deal damage more quickly.
Do not waste special attacks on isolated weak enemies.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is a side-scrolling action game developed by Natsume and published by Bandai for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Based on the first television season, it follows the Power Rangers as they battle Rita Repulsa’s forces across urban streets, facilities, and other dangerous locations. Players control individual Rangers with different weapons and combat styles, then face large end-of-stage enemies. The game is primarily a single-player beat ’em up with platforming elements. Its responsive combat, recognizable characters, and faithful presentation made it a well-regarded licensed release among early Power Rangers games, although its short campaign and straightforward design limit its depth.
