How it plays
The game uses a side-on perspective and presents a sequence of horizontally scrolling stages. Each stage contains waves of soldiers, robots, ninjas, and larger bosses, with the objective of reaching and defeating the stage guardian.
Players select Kunoichi, Kamaitachi, or Ninja and use normal attacks, jumping attacks, defensive movement, and character-specific techniques. Progress is linear, and each completed stage leads directly to the next mission. Enemy patterns, spacing, and crowd control are central to survival.
Plan your run
Stay near the edges of enemy groups rather than allowing opponents to surround you. Strike one target, move through the crowd, and use jumping or defensive movement to avoid attacks.
Learn each character's range and speed. Kunoichi rewards mobility, Kamaitachi offers an adaptable middle ground, and Ninja can control space with powerful attacks. Save special techniques for bosses or dense formations.

The Ninja Warriors is a side-scrolling beat 'em up developed by Natsume and published by Taito for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1994. It reimagines the 1987 arcade game The Ninja Warriors with new stages, redesigned characters, and a more elaborate combat system. Players choose one of three combat robots and fight through a dystopian military regime using punches, kicks, weapons, throws, and special attacks. The game is built for one player and emphasizes careful positioning against groups of enemies. It was well received for its detailed pixel art, large sprites, responsive action, and unusually polished presentation, although its challenge and limited replay structure can be demanding.
