How it plays
The action is viewed from an isometric, scrolling perspective. The main objective is to ride along each street, deliver newspapers to marked homes, and reach the end of the route without losing all available attempts.
Players steer around hazards, accelerate or slow down, and throw papers toward doorways, windows, and mailboxes. Bonus sections and route hazards add variety, while successful deliveries increase the player's newspaper circulation and help identify the next day's subscribers.
Plan your run
Stay near the center of the road when approaching dense obstacle patterns, then move into position only long enough to make a delivery. Learn the location of subscribers before trying to maximize throws.
Prioritize safe deliveries over risky bonus targets. Slow down near dogs, vehicles, ramps, and other moving hazards, and keep a paper ready for houses that are easy to miss while steering.

Paperboy 2 is an arcade-style action game developed and published by Tengen for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The player takes the role of a newspaper carrier riding through suburban neighborhoods and attempting to deliver papers to subscribers while avoiding traffic, hazards, animals, and hostile residents. Each run combines vehicle control with precise throwing. The game expands the original formula with selectable male and female carriers, varied obstacles, and a more colorful presentation. Reception was mixed: critics generally recognized its faithful arcade premise and accessible play, but some found the controls and collision behavior demanding compared with the original.
