Race, time-trial, practice, and multiplayer options provide different ways to learn routes and compete. Braking before tight bends, using the handbrake for sharper turns, and maintaining momentum on loose surfaces are central to successful driving.

Brake before a corner rather than entering at maximum speed. Loose surfaces reduce grip, so smooth steering and controlled throttle are usually faster than repeated corrections.

Learn landmark locations on each course and use practice or time trials to identify braking points. Preserve momentum through linked corners, but avoid cutting too aggressively because collisions and off-course travel cost more time than a cautious line.
