How it plays

How does Road Rash 64 play?

Races are viewed from a third-person perspective behind the motorcycle. The objective is to finish ahead of rival riders while avoiding civilian traffic, roadside obstacles, police, and crashes.

Players steer, accelerate, brake, lean, and attack nearby opponents. Winning events provides money and progression toward faster motorcycles and more difficult races. Single-player racing is joined by local multiplayer modes, including competitive road races and combat-focused variations.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Road Rash 64?

Brake before blind corners and use the road width to line up overtakes. Attacks are most effective when a rival is beside or slightly ahead of your motorcycle; avoid swinging when traffic leaves no recovery space.

Prioritize upgrading or buying a faster bike when the current machine cannot keep pace. Learn shortcuts and hazardous sections of each route, and do not sacrifice a safe finish merely to win a single exchange.

Before you begin

What should you know before playing?

  1. 1

Use braking and controlled steering rather than holding acceleration through every corner.

  2. 2

Watch traffic and roadside hazards before attempting an attack.

  3. 3

Save race earnings for a motorcycle upgrade when opponents begin pulling away.
