How it plays

How does Sakura Wars play?

Players guide Ichiro Ogami through the Imperial Combat Revue's theater, headquarters, and Tokyo locations. Dialogue choices and timed responses affect relationships, story events, and combat performance.

Battles use an isometric tactical field. Each unit can move, attack, defend, support allies, or use special abilities within a limited action allowance. Story chapters alternate with battles, and character bonds influence later scenes and tactical options.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Sakura Wars?

Use dialogue choices to learn each heroine's preferences and strengthen the relationships that matter to your preferred battle team. Save before major conversations because timed responses can alter later scenes.

In combat, position units so they can support one another, protect weaker characters, and exploit each unit's movement and attack range. Preserve action points for defense or healing when a direct attack is not worthwhile.
