How it plays
The match is viewed from a mostly side-on field that scrolls horizontally as the active team moves. The objective is to eliminate opposing players by striking them with the ball while avoiding or catching incoming attacks.
Players can move, jump, punch, kick, pick up the ball, and throw it. Each team has several members with different durability and throwing strength. Matches progress through opposing national teams, and victory depends on targeting vulnerable players while preserving your own lineup.
Plan your run
Keep moving instead of standing in the center of the field. Use the edge of the arena to reduce the number of directions from which attacks can arrive.
Focus strong throws on weakened opponents, and pick up loose balls quickly. Save jumps for avoiding powerful throws or changing position, rather than using them constantly.

Super Dodge Ball is a sports-action game developed by Technōs Japan for the Nintendo Entertainment System. It presents dodgeball as a fast arcade contest rather than a strict simulation, with teams attacking one another using punches, kicks, throws, and special ball techniques. The player controls Kunio and competes against international teams across a short tournament-style progression. Its colorful sprites, forceful collisions, and energetic pace reflect Technōs Japan's beat-'em-up design. The NES release became a recognizable cult favorite, especially among players who enjoyed the Kunio-kun character style and unusual take on a familiar schoolyard sport.
