How it plays

How does Super Double Dragon play?

Players move from left to right through a sequence of urban and wilderness stages, defeating groups of enemies before reaching each stage's boss. Billy and Jimmy can punch, kick, jump, block, grab opponents, and use weapons found during a stage.

The game supports one-player and two-player cooperative modes. Successful attacks build opportunities for stronger techniques, while defensive timing and positioning are important because enemies can surround the player. Progression is stage-based rather than character-level based, with no persistent equipment system.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Super Double Dragon?

Use short attack strings instead of repeatedly committing to long animations. Keep enemies in front of you, because being surrounded makes recovery difficult.

Block when approaching groups, then counterattack after an enemy misses. Pick up weapons when they provide useful reach, but do not rely on them as a substitute for positioning. In two-player mode, avoid attacking through your partner and coordinate which enemy each player will pressure.
