Players choose a racer and kart, accelerate, steer, brake, drift, use items, avoid custom hazards, complete laps, and advance through Series 3 courses. Verify the first race to identify any custom rules, altered speed, or changed shortcut behavior.

Use a separate Series 3 save set, practice the current course before contesting a cup, and brake conservatively at unfamiliar corners. Save before a cup transition if supported and report the exact track and lap when behavior differs.
