How it plays
How does Tetris 2 play?
Pieces fall into a rectangular playfield from a side-on perspective. The objective is to place them so that ordinary blocks connect to special colored blocks; matching colors remove the connected groups and can trigger chain reactions. Players move and rotate pieces while trying to prevent the stack from reaching the top.
Single-player stages use preset arrangements and progressively harder conditions. Versus play lets two players compete, with successful clears affecting the opponent's field. Progress depends on planning color matches, creating cascades, and managing the limited space rather than simply completing horizontal lines.

What is the best way to play Tetris 2?
Study the colors already in the well before dropping a piece. Prioritize matches that remove several blocks or open access to buried special blocks, but avoid building tall columns that restrict future placements.
Set up one match while preparing the next. Chain reactions are especially valuable because a single clear can remove additional blocks and greatly reduce the board. In versus play, use large clears to pressure the opponent while keeping your own field low.
