How it plays
The game uses a side-view perspective. Batman or Robin moves through linear stages, defeats enemies, avoids hazards, and reaches a boss encounter at the end of each major section.
Players can jump, attack at close range, and use ranged gadgets while navigating platforms, elevators, traps, and moving objects. Stages vary in layout and atmosphere, and progression is based on clearing them in sequence rather than exploring a persistent map.
Plan your run
Learn enemy attack patterns before rushing forward. Many hazards are placed just beyond the visible edge of the screen, so advance carefully and keep room to retreat.
Save ranged attacks for dangerous enemies and bosses, and use jumps to control spacing rather than relying only on close combat. On difficult stages, consistent damage avoidance is usually more valuable than speed.

Before you begin

The Adventures of Batman & Robin is a side-scrolling action game developed by Konami Computer Entertainment Chicago and published by Konami for the Super Nintendo. It is based on Batman: The Animated Series and follows Batman and Robin as they confront a series of Gotham City villains. The game combines platforming, hand-to-hand combat, projectile weapons, and demanding set pieces across heavily themed stages. Its fast pace, striking animation-inspired presentation, and high difficulty earned it a strong reputation among 16-bit action games, although the challenge can be punishing for players unfamiliar with its enemy patterns.
