Spider-Man
Peter Parker and the playable hero, using agility, wall movement, and web-based attacks to fight criminals and supervillains.
How it plays
The game uses a two-dimensional side-scrolling perspective. Spider-Man moves through stages, climbs or swings around obstacles, defeats ordinary enemies, and reaches a major villain encounter at the end of a level.
Players must combine platforming with close-range attacks and web-based abilities. Progression is stage-based, with different environments and opponents introducing new hazards. The main experience is a single-player campaign; no separate multiplayer mode is documented for this version.
Plan your run
Learn the timing of Spider-Man’s jump and web attacks before rushing into unfamiliar rooms. Use distance and elevated positions whenever possible, because many enemies are easier to handle when they cannot surround Spider-Man.
Against bosses, observe the attack pattern first and strike only after an opening. Preserve health by avoiding unnecessary contact with regular enemies, and treat each stage as a sequence of short positioning challenges rather than a continuous attack.

The Amazing Spider-Man: Lethal Foes is a side-scrolling action game developed and published by Epoch for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It presents Spider-Man in an original adventure against several recurring Marvel villains, including Doctor Octopus, the Green Goblin, Venom, and the Lizard. Players guide Spider-Man through platforming stages and combat encounters, using movement, jumps, web attacks, and environmental positioning to survive. The game was released in Japan in 1995 and remained relatively obscure outside that market. Its appeal comes from its comic-book presentation, varied villain encounters, and emphasis on Spider-Man’s mobility, although its difficulty and limited international availability kept it from becoming one of the system’s best-known superhero games.
