How it plays
How does Top Gear 2 play?
Races use a top-down perspective and place the player on winding roads containing traffic, obstacles, jumps, water, and other hazards. The objective is to finish ahead of the field while managing speed, fuel, damage, and available boosts.
A world tour links multiple stages, and successful results provide access to further events and performance upgrades. One-player and split-screen two-player racing are available, with vehicle handling and equipment affecting how effectively each course can be completed.
Plan your run
What is the best way to play Top Gear 2?
Learn each course's bends and hazard patterns before spending boosts. Avoid unnecessary collisions because damage and lost speed can make later sections difficult.
Prioritize upgrades that improve acceleration, top speed, handling, or durability according to the course. In two-player races, taking a clean inside line is often more valuable than attempting risky overtakes.
Before you begin
What should you know before playing?
- 1
Save boosts for long straights or recovery after a major obstacle.
- 2
Watch fuel and damage indicators during longer events.
- 3
Use the road width to set up overtakes before corners.
