How it plays
How does Top Gear Rally play?
Races are viewed from behind the vehicle, with an optional alternate camera perspective. The main objective is to complete rally stages faster than the opposition while avoiding crashes and managing the car’s condition.
Events use off-road courses with different surfaces and weather. Players steer, accelerate, brake, use the handbrake, and select vehicles with different performance characteristics. Progression is built around completing events and unlocking additional cars, tracks, and upgrades through championship-style play.
Plan your run
What is the best way to play Top Gear Rally?
Brake before tight corners rather than entering them at full speed. Use the handbrake sparingly on loose surfaces, where it can help rotate the car but also cause a spin.
Learn each course’s surface changes and jumps. A smooth line is usually faster than repeated collisions, and protecting the vehicle is especially important in longer events.
Before you begin
What should you know before playing?
- 1
Reduce speed before blind bends and crests.
- 2
Use wider lines on mud and snow to maintain control.
- 3
Practice difficult stages in single-race mode before attempting a championship.
