How it plays
The game uses a first-person perspective. Players explore enclosed facilities, streets, ruins, and other hostile areas while completing objectives such as reaching destinations, rescuing allies, collecting keys, and defeating major enemies.
Joseph and Danielle share the core shooting mechanics but have distinct equipment and abilities. The campaign is divided into missions with exploration, platforming, environmental hazards, weapon pickups, health and ammunition management, and boss encounters. A multiplayer mode supports competitive matches with selectable arenas and characters.
Plan your run
Conserve powerful ammunition for heavily armored enemies and bosses, and use ordinary firearms against weaker targets. Search side rooms and elevated areas for weapons, ammunition, health, and armor before advancing through a mission.
Learn each protagonist’s strengths and use the appropriate equipment for the situation. In large fights, keep moving, use cover when available, and watch for attacks from off-screen or from higher platforms.

Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion is a first-person shooter developed by Iguana Entertainment and published by Acclaim Entertainment for the Nintendo 64. It follows the Fireseed family as they confront Oblivion, a powerful entity threatening Earth and other dimensions. The campaign combines conventional firearms, explosive weapons, alien technology, and supernatural locations across a sequence of story-driven missions. Players can choose between Joseph and Danielle Fireseed, whose different abilities create modest variations in how certain encounters are approached. The game was recognized for its atmosphere, ambitious presentation, and large arsenal, although critics also noted technical limitations and occasional control or pacing issues. It was the final main Turok game released for the Nintendo 64.
