How it plays

How does Turok: Dinosaur Hunter play?

The game is viewed from a first-person perspective. Turok must explore large stages, locate keys and artifacts, defeat enemies, and reach the exit while managing health, ammunition, and equipment.

Levels contain branching paths, hidden areas, switches, platforms, and locked doors. Progression comes from collecting Chronoscepters, keys, weapon upgrades, and other items. The campaign is single-player and does not include a competitive multiplayer mode on Nintendo 64.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Turok: Dinosaur Hunter?

Explore beyond the most obvious route. Keys and switches often open paths in earlier sections, while artifacts and Chronoscepter pieces reward careful backtracking.

Conserve powerful ammunition for large dinosaurs and bosses. Use the environment for distance, watch for sound cues, and save before entering unfamiliar areas when possible.
