How it plays

How does Turok: Dinosaur Hunter play?

The game uses a first-person perspective. Tal'Set explores seven major stages, searches for keys and Chronoscepter parts, fights dinosaurs and armed enemies, and reaches a boss or stage objective.

Movement includes running, jumping, crouching, swimming, and platform navigation. Weapons range from a bow and pistol to explosive and futuristic arms. The hub and level structure reward backtracking, while discoveries such as weapon pickups, health, ammunition, and extra lives support progression.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Turok: Dinosaur Hunter?

Explore every branch before leaving a stage. Keys, ammunition, health, and Chronoscepter parts are often placed away from the main route.

Save powerful ammunition for bosses and dangerous groups, and use the bow or pistol against isolated targets. Crouching can improve stability and helps when approaching enemies or navigating low passages.

Keep moving during combat, watch for attacks from above or behind, and use the hub's portals to revisit areas after obtaining new keys.
