How it plays

How does U.N. Squadron play?

The game uses a horizontal side-view perspective. The player flies through missions, destroys enemy formations and installations, avoids terrain and projectiles, and defeats a boss or completes the sortie objective.

Before missions, credits can be used to select aircraft and equip limited-use special weapons. The pilot roster, aircraft performance, weapon choices, and remaining lives shape progression through the campaign.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play U.N. Squadron?

Learn each mission's enemy entrances instead of constantly flying at maximum speed. Preserve the special weapon that best matches the stage's boss or dense ground defenses.

Spend credits carefully: improving aircraft performance can be more valuable than buying a powerful weapon immediately. Use the terrain and screen edges to manage enemy fire, and retreat from crowded areas rather than trading hits.
