How it plays

How does The Uncanny X-Men play?

The game uses side-view action stages in which the selected X-Men move through dangerous environments, defeat enemies, and reach the end of each mission. Players can choose different mutants before starting, and two-player mode allows two characters to act together.

Movement, jumping, and each character’s special attack form the basic play loop. Progress depends on surviving enemy encounters and learning stage hazards; the game provides limited feedback and does not offer a deep upgrade system.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play The Uncanny X-Men?

Learn enemy patterns before advancing, especially in narrow areas where collisions are difficult to avoid.

Choose a character whose attack is comfortable for the stage, and use cooperative play to divide enemy attention when possible. Avoid rushing into unfamiliar screens, since the game’s controls can make recovery difficult.
