Players select a side and play standard chess on a 3D board. The objective is to checkmate the opposing king while managing legal moves, captures, checks, and the special rules of chess.

Matches are turn-based and can be played against the computer or another local player. The main progression comes from improving play and choosing stronger computer opposition rather than unlocking a story campaign. Board and piece views can be adjusted to make positions easier to read.

Use the opening to develop knights and bishops, control the center, and castle before launching attacks. Check the opponent’s threats after every move, especially when the camera angle makes a diagonal or long-range attack harder to see.

Against the computer, avoid early queen moves and simplify into favorable endgames when ahead. Review legal captures and possible checks before committing to a move.
