The game presents a side-scrolling view. Players move their character through successive stages, fire at enemies, jump over hazards, and continue toward encounters at the end of each section.

The objective is to clear each stage while managing lives and weapon power. Enemy formations, environmental obstacles, and boss-style encounters create the main progression, with simultaneous two-player play available on supported arcade cabinets.

Keep moving rather than waiting for every enemy to appear. Side-scrolling enemies can attack from several directions, so preserve a safe route and avoid becoming trapped against the edge of the screen.

Use jumps to clear hazards and reposition, and focus fire on the most dangerous targets first. In two-player games, spread out enough to cover both sides of the screen without separating so far that one player cannot provide support.
