How it plays
The game uses a side-view perspective and follows a linear sequence of battle stages. Players move through urban, industrial, and military environments, defeating infantry, machines, and large bosses before advancing to the next area.
The joystick moves the armor, while separate buttons control attacks and jumping. Defeated enemies can provide weapons or parts, and players can use punches, kicks, firearms, shields, and environmental objects. Up to three players can cooperate, with each machine offering different strengths and equipment.
Plan your run
Learn the attack range and movement of the selected armor before relying on special weapons. Preserve powerful guns and explosives for bosses, and use shields or vertical movement when surrounded.
Prioritize enemies carrying firearms and destroy dangerous machines before clearing weaker targets. In multiplayer, spread out enough to avoid blocking one another, but regroup quickly when a boss exposes a vulnerable point.

Different armor types reward different approaches, so try more than one machine.
Armored Warriors is a 1994 Capcom side-scrolling beat 'em up for arcade systems. Players control heavily armed combat robots defending Earth from a rebel mechanized force in a science-fiction war. The game combines traditional close-range brawling with detachable weapons, ranged attacks, shields, and vehicle-like movement. Its cooperative design supports up to three players, each selecting a different armored machine with distinct handling and equipment. Capcom’s detailed sprite work, large bosses, and energetic combat earned the game a strong reputation among arcade action fans, although its original release remained less widely known outside Japan. It was released in Japan as Powered Gear: Strategic Variant Armor Equipment.
