How it plays
The game uses a fixed single-screen view. Bomb Jack moves around platforms and open air, collecting every bomb in a stage before the level can be completed. Enemies patrol or cross the screen, so the player must use jumps, flight, and careful positioning to avoid contact.
A button controls Bomb Jack's aerial movement, while the joystick directs him around the stage. Bonus items and special bomb colors reward skilled collection, and later stages increase the pressure through denser enemy activity and more difficult routes.
Plan your run
Plan a safe route before committing to the highest or most exposed bombs. Use short aerial movements to adjust position and avoid drifting into enemies.
When possible, collect bombs in their displayed sequence for better scoring opportunities, but survival remains more important than forcing a risky bonus route. Learn enemy timing and use the edges of platforms to control descents.

Before you begin
Prioritize learning the bomb layout of each stage.
Use the aerial button in short, controlled presses near enemies.
Do not sacrifice a life for a difficult bonus item unless the route is safe.
Bomb Jack is a 1984 arcade action-platform game developed and published by Tehkan. The player controls Bomb Jack, a caped hero who must collect bombs scattered around single-screen stages while avoiding enemies and hazards. His unusual movement allows him to leap and fly through open spaces rather than simply walking across conventional platforms. Each stage is built around quick movement, route planning, and risk management. Collecting bombs in the correct sequence can improve the score, while power-ups and bonus items provide additional opportunities. Bomb Jack was well received in arcades for its responsive controls, fast pace, distinctive vertical movement, and demanding score-based challenge.
