Boogerman
The playable superhero and the defender of the planet from the pollution threat.
How it plays
The game uses a two-dimensional side view. Boogerman moves through individually themed stages, jumps across platforms, avoids traps, collects useful items, and fights enemies and bosses.
His offensive options include punches, kicks, thrown boogers, and other bodily-function attacks. Health and ammunition management matter during longer stages, while exploration rewards players who search beyond the most direct route. Progression is based on clearing levels and overcoming boss encounters.
Plan your run
Learn enemy patterns before committing to jumps or close-range attacks. Save limited projectile ammunition for durable enemies and bosses rather than wasting it on harmless targets.
Explore side paths for health and useful items, but do not rush through unfamiliar platforms. Against bosses, prioritize survival and attack only after identifying a safe opening.
Meet the cast

Before you begin
Use ranged attacks when an enemy can be defeated without approaching it.

Treat boss fights as pattern-learning encounters rather than races.
Boogerman: A Pick and Flick Adventure is a side-scrolling platform game developed by Interplay Productions and released for the Sega Genesis in 1994. It stars Boogerman, a superhero whose crude bodily functions become his main weapons against an environmental menace. The game combines traditional jumping and exploration with projectile attacks, close combat, and deliberately gross humor. Players travel through colorful, hazardous stages while collecting items and defeating bizarre enemies. Its cartoon presentation and unusual comedy gave it a distinctive identity, and it received generally favorable attention for its animation, character design, and irreverent tone, although its difficulty and humor were more divisive.
