How it plays
The game uses a two-dimensional side view. Players guide Bugs from left to right through separate stages, avoiding hazards, defeating or bypassing enemies, and reaching the end of each level.
Movement, jumping, and careful timing are central. Stages use platforms, gaps, moving hazards, and cartoon-themed encounters. Progress is based on completing the levels in sequence; the game does not use a complex character-upgrade or equipment system.
Plan your run
Learn the timing of moving platforms and hazards before committing to a jump. Keep Bugs near the center of the screen when possible so approaching threats can be seen early.
Do not rush enemy encounters. Observe their movement patterns, use safe platforms, and treat each new section as a short timing puzzle. Repeating an early portion of a stage is often safer than attempting a difficult jump while moving at full speed.

Bugs Bunny in Double Trouble is a 1996 side-scrolling platform game developed by Radical Entertainment and published by Sega for the Genesis. It places Bugs in a series of cartoon-inspired situations built around slapstick hazards, enemy encounters, and short platforming challenges. The game draws on familiar Looney Tunes settings and characters while presenting its own sequence of levels rather than directly adapting one feature-length story. Bugs explores colorful stages, avoids traps, deals with recurring rivals, and uses simple movement and jumping to reach each area’s goal. Its reception was mixed: reviewers generally recognized the attractive cartoon presentation and recognizable humor, but some criticized the uneven difficulty, limited depth, and occasionally awkward control response.
