Kabuki Dan
A flamboyant kabuki performer and the game’s central character, using theatrical attacks and acrobatic movement.
How it plays
Matches take place in two-dimensional arenas viewed from the side. The objective is to deplete the opponent’s life bar before the round timer expires, using normal attacks, defensive movement, throws, and character-specific special moves.
The single-player game progresses through a fixed series of battles toward a final confrontation. Local versus play supports competition between two players. Winning rounds and matches depends on spacing, timing, learning attack properties, and managing each fighter’s distinctive techniques rather than on an equipment or experience system.
Plan your run
Learn the range and recovery of each fighter’s normal attacks before relying on special moves. Use movement to control distance, punish missed attacks, and avoid trading hits with stronger characters.
In arcade mode, conserve defensive options and observe the opponent’s attack patterns. In versus play, practice spacing around each character’s longest attack and confirm that special moves connect before committing to longer sequences.

Far East of Eden: Kabuki Klash is a 1995 arcade fighting game developed and published by Hudson Soft. It draws its cast and visual identity from the Far East of Eden role-playing series, but presents them in one-on-one combat rather than adventure exploration. Players select colorful heroes and villains, fight through a sequence of matches, and use exaggerated attacks inspired by kabuki theater and Japanese folklore. The game is built for short arcade sessions, with responsive four-button combat, special techniques, and large character animations. Its unusual setting and energetic presentation earned it a positive reputation among Neo Geo and arcade fighting-game enthusiasts, although it remained less widely known than contemporaries from SNK and Capcom.
