How it plays
How does Forgotten Worlds play?
The game uses a side-view perspective and scrolls horizontally through stages filled with ground enemies, airborne attackers, obstacles, and bosses. The player moves, aims independently, fires, and uses limited special attacks while trying to survive each section.
Defeated enemies and collected items provide currency. Between stages, shops allow the player to purchase weapon upgrades, armor, and other improvements. The arcade version supports one or two players, with cooperative play following the same stage progression.
Plan your run
What is the best way to play Forgotten Worlds?
Keep movement and aiming independent: avoid rushing directly toward enemies while maintaining fire on threats from the front or rear.
Collect currency whenever it is safe, then prioritize upgrades that improve regular firepower and survivability. Save bombs or other special attacks for crowded sections and bosses rather than spending them on isolated enemies.
Before you begin
What should you know before playing?
- 1
Watch both sides of the screen; enemies can approach from behind while the character is aiming forward.
- 2
Use shops to strengthen the main weapon before buying less essential upgrades.
- 3
In two-player games, coordinate firing directions so both players cover different angles.
