How it plays
Players select a warrior and fight through a sequence of one-on-one matches. The objective is to deplete the opponent’s health before the round timer expires, with victories advancing the player through the tournament.
Combat takes place on a single 2D plane. Players move, jump, block, attack, and use character-specific special techniques. The arcade version is built around single-player progression and competitive two-player matches, while rounds and match results determine advancement through the encounter ladder.
Plan your run
Learn the range and recovery of the chosen fighter’s normal attacks before relying on special techniques. Staying at a useful distance is important because many exchanges are decided by reach and timing rather than repeated attack input.
Watch the opponent’s jump and recovery animations. Block cautiously, punish missed attacks, and avoid spending the entire round at the edge of the screen, where movement options become limited.

Galaxy Fight: Universal Warriors is a 1995 arcade fighting game developed and published by Sunsoft. It presents a roster of warriors from different worlds competing in a science-fiction tournament, with each fighter bringing distinct attacks and special techniques. Matches use a side-view format and emphasize direct one-on-one combat, spacing, attacks, and defensive timing. The game is known for its colorful character designs, unusual cosmic setting, fast-paced battles, and detailed 2D presentation. It received a more limited audience than the era’s leading fighting franchises, but arcade and later home-version players have continued to value its distinctive roster and energetic mechanics.
