How it plays

How does Ghost Pilots play?

The game uses a vertically scrolling viewpoint. The player steers an aircraft in eight directions, destroys airborne and ground targets, collects power-ups, and survives each stage until reaching its boss.

A rapid-fire weapon is the primary attack, while bombs clear threats or provide temporary safety. Stages alternate between open skies and areas filled with terrain obstacles and defensive installations. In two-player mode, both aircraft fight simultaneously, but collisions with enemies or projectiles consume lives.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Ghost Pilots?

Keep the aircraft moving in short, controlled patterns instead of holding one direction. Prioritize bullets and fast-moving enemies over distant ground targets when the screen is crowded.

Save bombs for dense projectile patterns, difficult approach sections, and boss attacks. Learn where power-ups appear, but do not risk a life crossing the screen for one. During boss encounters, maintain a safe position while attacking exposed targets and watching for aimed shots.

Before you begin

What should you know before playing?

  1. 1

Use bombs before the screen becomes completely saturated with bullets.

  2. 2

In two-player games, spread out slightly so both aircraft retain room to dodge.
