How it plays

How does Gunforce II play?

The game uses a side-scrolling perspective. Players advance from left to right, defeat infantry, armored units, turrets, and bosses, and reach the end of each stage.

Players move, aim, fire, jump, and board usable vehicles. Weapon pickups and vehicle sections change the player's attack options, while limited lives and continues keep the arcade progression focused on surviving each encounter.

One or two players can play cooperatively. Stages are structured as linear combat zones with enemy ambushes, hazards, minibosses, and major boss battles.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Gunforce II?

Keep moving while firing so enemies have less time to surround you. Prioritize turrets, rocket troops, and other ranged threats before weaker infantry.

Use vehicles aggressively, but avoid treating them as invulnerable. Learn boss attack patterns, preserve lives for the final sections, and use continues only after identifying the hazards that caused the previous loss.
